DESCRIPTION

Conduit is an open-source plug-in that enables creation of custom data visualisations and heads up displays that update with your parametric models.

PROCEDURE

1. Surface panels are generated with LunchBox plug-in
2. Slider to select a specific panel
3. Define the wireframe and the panel label’s display style in Rhino
4. Setup a bound as the rhino display viewport frame
5. This frame is divided in different proportions to display different objects
6. Panels are oriented on a flat grid
7. Panels are rescaled to the bound to project on the HUD
8. Define the display style for the panels
9. Define the display style for the select panel
10. Define the display style for text info

DESCRIPTION

This exercise shows how to control the camera and camera target path using curves. By right-clicking on the ‘parameter’ slider, a time-lapse image sequence can be created. Mesh edge colouration is here based on camera proximity to give a sense of depth.

DESCRIPTION

GhGL is a set of OpenGL shader authoring components for Grasshopper that display shader results in Rhino viewports with inputs defined by Grasshopper data. GhGL is currently only available for Windows Rhino 7 WIP.

To Install, run the TestPackageManager command in Rhino. Select ghgl from the list and click the install button. Once installed, you will find the components “GL Mesh Shader” and “GL Shader” in the “preview” bar of Grasshopper.

PROCEDURE

1.Toon Shader: Posterising the mesh by its distance to the viewing camera
2. Halftone Shader: Gives a directional hatch to the mesh with adjustable line thickness
3. Fresnel Shader: Display the mesh with translucency and gives ambient shading to the edge
4. Outline Shader: Works with normal preview component, creates an outline on all displayed object with a dense point cloud
