11. 2. 01. Galapagos: Single Objective Optimization (Basics)

Date published: July 5, 2024

This tutorial uses the built-in Grasshopper component Galapagos to perform a single objective optimization The tutorial’s primary focus is to communicate the foundational knowledge required to operate this component effectively: how to connect genomes and how to configure objectives or fitness values that need optimization.

Galapagos is a powerful tool for finding optimal solutions in parametric design, allowing designers to explore a vast range of possibilities and discover unexpected solutions that might not be apparent through manual iteration.

This exercise is using Grasshopper version 1.0.0007
