DESCRIPTION

GhGL is a set of OpenGL shader authoring components for Grasshopper that display shader results in Rhino viewports with inputs defined by Grasshopper data. GhGL is currently only available for Windows Rhino 7 WIP.

To Install, run the TestPackageManager command in Rhino. Select ghgl from the list and click the install button. Once installed, you will find the components “GL Mesh Shader” and “GL Shader” in the “preview” bar of Grasshopper.

PROCEDURE

1.Toon Shader: Posterising the mesh by its distance to the viewing camera
2.
Halftone Shader: Gives a directional hatch to the mesh with adjustable line thickness
3.
Fresnel Shader: Display the mesh with translucency and gives ambient shading to the edge
4.
Outline Shader: Works with normal preview component, creates an outline on all displayed object with a dense point cloud

This exercise is using Grasshopper version 1.0.0007
