PROCEDURE

1.Set a box as the voxel field
2.Define the first photo of a photo data set source; this example uses an abdomen scan
3.Use the CreateImageStack to read the image data set
4.Add the source from both the shape and material channel
5.Extract the shape and material channel
6.Select a vertical section mesh plane with a custom cluster
7.Preview the mesh with custom colour channel
8.Preview the horizontal section plane with the GetSlicePlane component
9.Define an iso-mesh

1.Set a box as the voxel field; adjust the channel to shape with RGB
2.Define 3 bitmaps as sources to compose the iso mesh
3.Define the z-axis value for each bitmap
4.Define a bitmap as source for material distribution
5.Define the planes for bitmap to project on defining the colours of the mesh
6.Combine the voxel field, shape, and colour
7.Extract voxel colour information
8.Define an iso-mesh
9.Preview the mesh with colour channel

DESCRIPTION
Monolith is a voxel-based modeling editor. It focusses on the development of new digital representations and design workflows that inhabit the space between traditional computer aided design (CAD) and three dimensional voxel based image processing with the aim of allowing a very fine level of control over volumetric material distributions, especially in light of new multi-material 3D printing technologies.

PROCEDURE

1.Set a box as the voxel field; adjust the resolution for a finer result
2.Define a math function to for the shape of the model
3.Define a math function for the material distribution
4.Add the voxel field, shape, and material together
5.Extract the shape and material channel
6.Form an iso-mesh of the from shape channel
7.Preview the mesh with material channel
8.Preview the voxel field in grasshopper
