3.1.01. curvature analysis

Date published: December 5, 2022

DESCRIPTION
This script analysis curvatures of a single curve or a curve network and allows for the colour coding of it based on material-specific permissible bending radii.

PROCEDURE:
Curves are broken up into discrete subcurves of which the curvature is evaluated in the centre points. These values are used to identify a colour value sampled from a scale of which both the minimum permissible (red) and negligeable (green) bending radii are defined. A panel also shows the measured values in the curve (network), and a point is placed in the centre of the tightest curve, allowing for easy identification of possibly problematic areas.
